It is ironic how much money we spend on our face when it comes to anti-ageing regimes. We have no problem spending time on facial treatment masks, scrubs and moisturizers. The purpose of this is for what? To keep and maintain our youthful appearance. There is certainly nothing wrong with this but why is it for the most part we do not carry over this regime to our hands?

It is true that our face is exposed to a whole gambit of harsh environments but when you think about it, our hands take a lot more abuse than our face. After all our face is not subjected to the everyday household cleaning products for example that our hands are.

Quite often, if you want to get a true idea of just how old someone is take a close look at his or her hands. Do not be surprised to note that the hands have aged dramatically in comparison to the individuals face.

Now to be fair we cannot say that we are totally neglectful of our hands. I mean after all every once in a while we do use a hand cream. Isn't that usually though when the hands of become so dried out that they feel like sandpaper?

It is not too often that we use hand creams as a preventative or maintenance like the ones we do with our face creams. Then we must not forget though we do polish our nails on a regular basis. Is not that like just putting makeup on the face though? It is for attractiveness and camouflage of our small weaknesses.

If we really do want to maintain and preserve out youthful appearance then we must be concerned about out total body and specifically the hands because of what they are exposed to.

A daily regime of washing the hands with a good moisturizing soap is going to be most beneficial. Then a daily application of a good body cream not just a cheap hand cream from the dollar store will go a long way is preserving the hands.

Once a week give your hands a good exfoliating scrub. Perhaps you could use your facial scrub. I know it is probably expensive  but aren't your hands worth it? Besides you will be using less than what you use on your face.

Do not forget your hands would really appreciate a mask treatment occasionally and a hot paraffin treatment would produce amazing results.
