    Grandma-like fragrance & pore clogging
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I realize this isn’t a very expensive product to complain about, but there are a few issues a new buyer should be aware of. The first is the smell. This must have been what my 95 year old wonderful Grandma used, because it smells hauntingly of her and the smell sticks with you until you wash it off; Nadinola has a very unappealing “old lady” smell.

The second issue for me was that the “emollients & sunscreen to prevent dark spots from recurring…” is too much for my acne prone skin. I barely used half the size of a pearl on my entire face & neck, but I woke up to a MAJOR breakout. I then tried to lightly “spot treat” with the fade cream with combinations of acne cream underneath, but everywhere I put Nadinola I broke out badly.

    Didn’t work
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I used this religiously twice a day (morning & night) for the recommended 3 months and it didn’t seem to work so I’ve stopped using it. It actually seems like it darkened some areas instead too. They warn you about that possibility on the label but it’s such a subtle change you don’t really know it’s happening. This product does not smell good either. It really does smell like an old lady and a little like onions. Weird.

    Waste of money.

It left my skin irritated, created new rashes and pimples. The smell is kind of weird, although bearable. I though 3% HQ was the answer to my forehead dark spots, but may be it’s not.

Affordable product that really does fade brown spots
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I’m so glad I tried Nadinola Extra Strength, at less than $12, instead of spending $50 or more on premium spot fading creams, because it really works. Nadinola ES has 3% hydroquinone, which is a proven effective ingredient. I needed to treat sun damage spots on areas with the most sun exposure: forearms, hands, neck, the “V’ on the chest where the shirt opens, and face. The spots were darker on my “driver’s side.” I am 60 but don’t have extensive sun damage, since I’ve used sunscreen faithfully and avoided suntanning. However, since my skin is very pale, the spots looked dark enough to bother me.

I’ve used Nadinola Extra Strength for 4 months. I am getting very good results even though I didn’t follow the directions to use it twice a day. I apply it only once a day (because I need to use other products, such as wrinkle serums, on clean skin) and sometimes I skip a day. The spotty areas on my driver’s side have faded about 50%, and the “V” dark chest spots are 90% gone. The forearm and hand spots are much lighter and some have disappeared. My face looks lighter, especially in the cheekbone and nose area.

I have only two problems with Nadinola: Too much moisturizer; it’s rather heavy, which has caused some breakouts on my oily face (although it’s not as heavy as Esoterica, which is very greasy). No breakouts on my arms, neck or chest where the skin is drier. Also Nadinola has a pretty strong fragrance. It dissipates overnight; I can’t smell it in the morning. If Nadinola had a drier formula and was unscented, it would be perfect.

Overall I think Nadinola Extra Strength is a great product for the price, and I will re-order it.

    It works, but slowely.
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
My skin type is over 40….a few years over 40;) I was sick of looking at 4 brown spots of sun damage on my forehead. I got this product and it does work. You have to be diligent about using it. Use it twice a day – don’t skip! I also recommend using a mild scrub to get rid of dry skin cells first so the product can get closer to the skin pigments targeted. In two weeks there is a very big difference. Now my blemish covering makeup works without having to layer it on! I hope that after a month of use, I won’t have to use any cover up at all, just my normal mineral foundation.

This stuff also faded some normal freckes very quickly. If you use it on your cheek bones, it brightens them up and gives you some natural looking improvement. One jar lasts quite a while, and it is not pricey. All said, it is a good product with real results.

Moisturizer Only – A Smelly One
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
Yes, this product does smell like “old lady”. I have used it for 3 months morning and night and have not seen any noticeable lightening so I have stopped using it now. It does however, leave my skin really soft, but the smell is so strong that it gives me a headache. The first time I tried it, I put a small dab on my hand and was embarrassed by the smell of it since I was at work at the time.

Works if you are consistent/obsessive with application
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I have had fairly severe melasma on my forehead, upper lip and cheeks for several years. The spots were getting darker and darker and couldn’t even be hidden with makeup.

After 2 mos of being absolutely obsessive in applying this cream (at least 2x a day) and being extra careful about ALWAYS wearing at least 40SPF sunblock, the spots have faded significantly. For the first time in 2 years I actually leave the house without piles of coverup/foundation and don’t catch people staring.

The downside is this stuff is really greasy and smells like a cheap drugstore product (as mentioned in other reviews), but that is a small inconvenience compared to wearing piles of cover up daily.

    Strongly Femininely Scented

Very strongly scented. Woman’s stuff. Later, bought an over the counter product not femininely scented.

    Fast action

This product does in one week what the prescription ointment could not do in 4 weeks. Thank God its still on the market.

    Really works
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This really works. I used it on scars after minor surgery that had turned a dark purple color. It really brightened them up. Just be careful not to get it on other parts of your skin because it will lighten any part that it touches.

Awesome product. This was my first time using it and I love it. I have received so many compliments on my skin tone. You can’t beat the price.

    It doesn’t work

I keep use this product for 3 weeks and there is no result at all. The product is NOT seal when I receive. Packing is cheap and the smell is bad.

Inexpensive with strongest dose of hydroquinone
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Other products on the market are more expensive with less hydroquinone. This is very inexpensive and works. The skin around my toes and knees began to get darker than the rest of my surrounding skin, I started using this cream and I have noticed that the skin is lighter and does not stand out as much. I will continue to use this product. It does take a while, but you will notice a difference.

    FABULOUS PRODUCT…
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Don’t let yourself be deceit by overprice products. Expensive doesn’t necessarily means better. I have white skin so when I hike in the summer and get bitten by mosquitoes my skin tend to get this dark spots where I scratch. Everyone knows that the lighter your skin is the more noticeable your spots will be. I started using a product called Civant. I paid about 50 dollars plus S & H for the product without any good results. If you go to their website they have all this positive reviews but when you tried to post your true experience it doesn’t come out. I tried to return the product and I couldn’t do that either. But going back to the review I want to give NADINOLA I must say that I have been using this product for a few weeks with very good results. This product has the highest concentration of Hydroquinone (3%)without a prescription, which is also medically proven to be very effective for the treatment of skin imperfections and spots, and even today is prescribe by doctors at a 4% dose. This product has work better than the most expensive products and I tell you, I have try them ALL! It also has alpha Hydroxy which is excellent for your skin. Your skin also will improve with this excellent cream. In my experience if a cheaper product work as well as an expensive one… why go for the most expensive one??
