    Good basic cleanser
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
For moderate to acute acne (author included):

This is a good first line of defense cleanser, as it will prepare your skin for the more intense treatements to come. It is gentle, non-comodegenic, slightly medicated and rinses clean. However, if you are in this group (which I am) it won’t do much for your acne on its own.

For light acne/sensitive skin (author’s girl friend):

For many of the same reason above this is an excellent cleanser and may be all you need.

    I’m in Love

I’m surprised by the nagative reviews, but it just goes to show how different everyone’s skin is and how hard it is to find the right cleanser. My face gets pretty oily and I do have occassional breakouts. I bought this at my local grocery store and it’s amazing. It got everything under control. Now that I am almost out though, the grocery near my house no longer carries it. I’ve tried several other stores as well, with no luck. I’m so glad I can order it online now. Otherwise, I would be back on the hunt for a good cleanser again. It’s so hard to go through so many products to find the right one, not to mention expensive when you consider money spent on failed attempts. Yes, the pump gets all funky and hard to use on mine as well (1 star off for that), but I am still very pleased with this product in regards to the final result.

    Didn’t work well for me…
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
This didn’t seem strong enough to control oil and fight acne for my skin. In addition, about half way through the bottle, the pump stopped coming back up on it’s own and I had to pry it up with my fingernails so I could depress it, pry it back up and depress it again, etc. I was glad when it was finally empty enough to throw away.

I didn’t give it just one star because it did a decent job with basic cleaning of my face.

More a stress test than a cure: try one first.

If the “power foam” has no more potency than its dispenser, forget about this product. The plunger stuck in place after a single press, just enough fluid dribbling out to make the bottle too slippery to hang on to. Even a squirt of WD-40 had no effect. After a couple of more tries, I returned it to Walgreen’s. Before ordering a 3-pack you may first wish to try a single bottle.

Finally clear skin that doesn’t peel
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I read the negative reviews here but I just don’t agree with them. I have older skin so it dries out easily and breaks out easily too. Most of the acne control cleansers I’ve tried have been so drying it was like having the peel after a sunburn. Not this one. When I first got it in about three days of daily use my skin was clearing up nicely without drying out. Now I am ordering more, but it is not easy to find. I agree the pump does tend to break easily. My first bottle worked fine to the end of product and my next one malfunctioned about halfway through but I just used it without the foaming pump. It still did the job. It is so good not to have dried out skin when I treat acne I don’t care about the bottle. I am ordering more.
